Meet the Doctors
Ronald C. Taylor, DDS, MSD
Dr. Ronald Taylor received his bachelor’s degree in 1991 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He enrolled in dental school at the University of Maryland in 1992 and in 1995 he did an externship at the University of Dundee Dental School in Dundee, Scotland. In 1996, he completed his dental training and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland. Dr. Taylor returned to New York and completed advanced training in a General Practice Residency (GPR) program at The Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in 1997. In 1999, he completed his endodontic specialty training and successfully defended his thesis, receiving his certification in endodontics and his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Taylor practices in Bowie and Silver Spring, Maryland. In addition, he currently serves as an associate professor at Howard University College of Dentistry and as an appointed member of the Dean’s Faculty as clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He has been a mock board examiner for endodontic residents in the United States Navy Post Graduate Endodontic Residency Program, the Medical College of Virginia, Boston University and the University of Maryland. He has been appointed by the American Board of Endodontics College of Diplomates to serve as a mentor to board eligible endodontists. He conducts several lectures and seminars on modern endodontics throughout the nation. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. Dr. Taylor is an alumnus of the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida and he continues his study at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda with the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. He is the past president of the Penick Endodontic Study Club.
Dr. Ronald C. Taylor is proud to be a specialist member of theAmerican Association of Endodontists. He was also selected to Washingtonian Magazine's List of Top Dentists for 2009.Dr. Taylor is married to his lovely wife Chalissa and has two beautiful children, Kayla and Evan. He enjoys traveling, deep sea fishing, and music.
Adam W. Orgel, DDS, MS
Dr. Adam Orgel is a native Washingtonian having attended Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2005 from the University of Maryland and continued on to obtain a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2009. He remained at the University of Maryland receiving a Masters in Oral Biology in 2012 while completing his endodontic residency. Dr. Orgel was presented with the Tony M. Ponti Memorial Award, which is presented to one graduating senior for excellence in clinical endodontics.
Dr. Orgel has been heavily involved with dental research. He worked as an intern at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and has had multiple publications. He also placed second at the 2012 American Association of Endodontics Annual Conference for his oral presentation on the relationship between oral bacteria and endodontic treatment.
Dr. Orgel practices in Bowie and Silver Spring, Maryland. He is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Association. Dr. Orgel continues his learning at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda with the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. He is also a founding member of the Premier Study Club in Bethesda.
Prashant Verma, DDS, MSD
Dr. Prashant Verma earned a DDS in 2009 from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California. After graduation, he practiced as a general dentist in San Francisco for two years before pursuing specialty training in endodontics. Dr. Verma completed his specialty training and received a Masters in Biomedical Sciences in 2014 from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. During his residency, he received the Sherril Ann Siegel Memorial Endodontic Research Fellowship from the University of Maryland and the Diversity in Leadership Institute Fellowship from the American Dental Association. He also received the Tony Michael Ponti Memorial Award, which is presented to one graduating senior for excellence in clinical endodontics. In early 2017, Dr. Verma completed his board certification for endodontics.
Dr. Verma practices in Bowie and Silver Spring, Maryland. He is a member of the medical staff at the University of Maryland Medical Center and an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Penick Endodontic Study Club of the Metropolitan DC Area.
Dr. Verma is married to his beautiful wife Neyha and have one child together. He enjoys traveling, swimming, spending time with his family and cutting-edge technology.
Juheon Seung, DDS, MS
Dr. Seung earned his DDS from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Dentistry in 2013 and later returned to University of Maryland for a Master’s Degree in Science and Specialty Certificate in Endodontics. During his specialty training, Dr. Seung was the chief resident in addition to being a representative to the Advanced Dental Education Director’s Meetings. He’s also a recipient of a research grant from the American Association of Endodontist (AAE) Foundation for his research on Endodontic Material. Dr. Seung successfully completed a one-year residency at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Washington D.C prior to his specialty training.
Currently, Dr. Seung serves as a representative for new Endodontic practitioners at the AAE. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Endodontists and locally, the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. He is also affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical Center located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Seung currently lives in Baltimore with his wife and is an avid Terrapin basketball and Baltimore Orioles fan.
